Adrian Ramsay, 32, is European Election Campaign Manager for Eastern Region Green Party. He was previously Deputy Leader of the Green Party (2008 to 2012) and a City Councillor in Norwich (2003-2011).
In the 2010 General Election Adrian secured the second highest Green vote in the country in the Norwich South constituency, doubling the party's vote share to 15%.
When he was a councillor, Adrian led Norwich Green Party to become the second largest party on the City Council. He is now working at a regional level in the Green Party, helping other local parties to emulate the party's success in Norwich.
Born and brought up in Norwich, Adrian went on to gain a First Class Degree in Politics and Sociology from the University of East Anglia in 2002, where he received an award for his Politics essays. He later gained a Masters' Degree and now lectures in politics and economics.
Adrian joined the Green Party in 1998 at the age of 16 because he felt the other parties were overlooking environmental issues and were not tackling poverty and animal cruelty. He still feels strongly that the Green Party is the only party with strong and coherent policies on these issues.
Adrian lives with his wife Jenny in the Dereham Road area of Norwich.
