Rupert Read

RRupert Readupert Read is one of the Green Party’s key candidates for the General Election.

Rupert lives in Norwich with his wife Juliette and teaches at the University of East Anglia. He is the Green Party’s national spokesperson on transport and a former City councillor.

Rupert says:
"I’m standing in Cambridge because I want to protect the NHS, get rid of tuition fees and transform transport in the city.

As your MP I want to create a more equal society and strong local economies and to make a difference on:

  • Banking reform, children's rights, workers’ rights, climate change and education.
  • Every community should have a wide range of jobs, affordable housing, pay a living wage, with the shops and services we need available locally.”

Help us win in Cambridge in the General election!
