Introducing Alice Haylock

I am a local music teacher who cares about the environment and the Newmarket community as a whole.

Since moving to Newmarket in 2015 I’ve been involved with several voluntary community projects, such as the Newmarket Music Festival and litter picking along the Yellow Brick Road. My work and social life for the last two years has been filled with providing fun musical activities locally, and I have loved every moment – Newmarket is full of wonderful, talented people.

I want to continue to do my bit for the town, and more specifically the ward where I live. If I win this election I will fight to have our newly-painted double yellow lines enforced – thus making our residential streets safer for motorists and pedestrians, and providing funds for worthy causes such as more frequent bin collections. I will ease the traffic in town by providing more adequate cycle parking and bicycle paths, and by improving public transport links. I will place more public bins around St Mary’s Ward and implement fines for those who drop litter. Most importantly I will represent every resident of St Mary’s as honestly and boldly as I can.
