All eyes on Bury St Edmunds after by-election win!

Mid Suffolk Green Party have won the Haughley, Stowupland and Wetherden by-election, defending the seat of the late Rachel Eburne with Agnes Watson being elected despite a nasty opposition campaign from the Conservatives.

This is a brilliant win for our only majority-Green council in the country who have been doing inspiring work for their communities.

We are sending congratulations to the team and good luck to Cllr Agnes Watson in her new role as a district councillor.

Now all eyes are on Bury St Edmunds!

After this amazing win in Suffolk, attention turns to the by-election fight we leading in the Tower division of Bury St Edmunds for Suffolk County Council.

The momentum is behind our candidate, Clare Higson.

StopTheTories.vote, one of the biggest tactical voting websites has backed the Green Party as the only viable option to stop another Conservative being elected.

We finished just 4% behind the Conservatives at the last county council election in 2021.

If we win, we will have TEN seats on Suffolk County Council, and we will position ourselves as a frontrunner for the Suffolk & Norfolk mayoral race next year.

Next Saturday 21st June, we will be heading to Bury St Edmunds on masse to deliver leaflets or knock on doors. Meet us from 11am at the Tollgate Pub, 142 Fornham Road, Bury St Edmunds IP32 6AX. Will you be there?
